Are you ready to (Re)build YOUR Legacy?

In our daily pursuit of educational and financial success, what do we purpose in our minds to leave our children in regards to our legacy? Many times in our communities, our children grow up seeing their parents, older siblings, grandparents, and older relatives entertaining, spending way too much, not budgeting, arguing over petty things, gossiping, settling, and the like. We tend to have these hopes and hidden dreams that our children will somehow miraculously, in the midst of all of this, still grow up to be these phenominal, wealth building, faith having, well dressed, well rounded, sucessful individuals...even though we never REALLY gave them one of the main tools that would make all this possible.

"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7, kjv). This commonly used, powerful scripture, although quoted often, is more commonly used as a cliche' than a way of life. We desire to be apart of strong families, prosperous neighborhoods, integrated and supportive communities, but this is almost impossible with the mindsets that so many of us are living with today. In my thinking (and I did a lot of that today), i believe the very best thing we could ever do for our children would be to leave them a legacy of a different mindset. An enlightened mindset that realizes the power positive thinking and speaking has on the life it desires to create.  Understand that it is indeed true that what you consistently think and talk about, will eventually come about whether you want it to or not.

Let us start new traditions. Let us begin our days with our children, speaking LIFE over and to them.  Building them up with our words and teaching them to voice how they want their days to flow.  Encourage and teach them to pray for favor with their teachers, friends/fellow students, school work, sports and other activities.  Let us be verbally grateful for global mindsets and wisdom in our finances.

Now is the time for us to show our children how to experience genuine love, unshakeable faith (in God) and an intimate relationship with God, instead of being religious, or concerned about church as an institution.

So, my question to you is...Are you ready to (Re)build YOUR Legacy????
